Mr. Gjergj Filipaj from Montenegro is currently
working as a Web Editor at the Innovation Centre Kosovo where he edits and
manages two web pages. Mr. Filipaj has an experience of 7 years as an active
reporter and editor in the Kosovan and Albanian press. In Albania he has worked
with newspaper Shekulli, magazines SPEKTER & XXL, Albanian Telegraphic
Agency (ATA) and with TV station Vizion+ (1999-2001). While in Kosovo he worked
with newspaper KOHA Ditore covering mainly the education beat (2001-2004).
He is one of the co-founders of Prishtina
based daily newspaper EXPRESS (2004-2006) where he worked as editor of the
NATIONAL news section. Filipaj also worked as Arts Editor at daily newspaper
Zëri.
From 2006 to
2008 he worked as media and communications expert with the United Nations
Kosovo Team (UNKT) and the division of Publicly Owned Enterprises POEs of the Kosovo
Trust Agency (KTA)
He finished
his Master Studies with the dissertation thesis «Representation of Masculinity
in Kosovan Television media — male presenters in entertainment show in RTK, KTV
and RTV21». Kosovo Center for Gender
Studies partially published in Albanian his MA thesis. He graduated at the
University of Tirana – Faculty of Philology and History – Journalism
Department.
