Ms. Blerta Visoka joined
ECMI Kosovo as an Intern in April 2017 within the four (4) years project “Equal
Rights for All Coalition”. Ms. Visoka was mostly engaged on the component of
development of research policy papers and presentation of findings and recommendations
to the government institutions and other stakeholders. After completion of the internship
program, Ms. Visoka worked as a local coordinator within the project “Official
Language Acquisition in Kosovo 2016” where her main responsibility was organization,
monitoring and evaluation of Albanian and Serbian language courses for
municipal officials. Further, Ms. Visoka currently is engaged in providing
assistance to the project team on the implementation of the project “Equal
Rights for All Coalition”. Her main role and responsibility is providing
support on the organization of different workshops, trainings, conferences;
establishing and/or strengthening the cooperation with local and central level
institutions and other grass-root CSOs that work for the promotion and
protection of the rights of minority communities, women, youth and LGBT
community; and organization of public awareness campaigns. Currenty Blerta is engaged as Program Coordinator and manages the project Cross Border Actions in Reproductive Health.
Before her engagement
with ECMI Kosovo, Ms. Visoka was engaged as a Project Coordinator on the
implementation of the projects “Youth for Equality” and “Us for We”, funded by
UNICEF innovations LAB Kosovo. During 2016 she has also accomplished an
internship in “KTV” and volunteered for “Peer Educators Network”, “Red Cross
Kosovo” and “EkoVizoni”.
Ms. Visoka, is a
student (BA) of political science at University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”.
She is fluent in Albanian and English.
